My name is Linda Adria. As long as I can remember, I was always obsessed with food. As a child, I was the opposite of a picky eater; I eat anything and everything that my family served.
My relationship with food has always been straightforward. I grew up knowing from where each one of my family's meal came. The vegetable and meat came from our farm. Other times, I accompanied my grandmother to the market, where she picked live stocks that were later slaughter for our consumption.
I watched women and men in my family cooked. I hovered around the kitchen when my grandmother cooked dinner. I asked millions of questions when our Cook made special meals on weekends. The best part, once the food was ready, we always eat together.
I grew up believing food is the best way to bring people together. We can break cultural and social barriers by sharing a plate.
